What PlumberUtah is
PlumberUtah is an independently operated referral service. PlumberUtah is not a plumbing contractor, holds no contractor license, employs no plumbers and performs no plumbing work. Every job arranged through this site is performed by an independent, separately licensed professional who contracts directly with the homeowner.
What PlumberUtah does not do
These limits are deliberate. Under Utah law the activities above are reserved to licensed contractors, and PlumberUtah stays outside them.
- It does not perform, supervise or inspect plumbing work.
- It does not set prices, produce estimates, bids, proposals or invoices.
- It does not schedule visits, dispatch technicians or manage jobs.
- It does not collect payment for plumbing work.
- It does not guarantee, warrant or insure any professional's work, license or insurance.
- It does not negotiate or execute contracts on behalf of any contractor.
- It does not employ, control or direct any plumbing professional.
Who you are actually contracting with
When you call the number on this site, the call is routed to an independent licensed plumbing professional or to a partner network that routes it onward. Your contract, your invoice, your warranty and any dispute are with that professional — not with PlumberUtah.
Before work begins, ask for the license number and verify it yourself. The public register for Utah is published by Utah Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL), Department of Commerce at https://secure.utah.gov/llv/search/index.html.
How this site is paid
PlumberUtah may receive compensation from a partner network or from a contractor when a homeowner connects with a professional through this site. Compensation does not change the price the contractor charges you, and it is not a fee you pay. See the advertising and compensation disclosure for detail.
Statutory disclosure for Utah
Utah makes it unlawful to engage in a construction trade, to act as a contractor, or to represent oneself as engaged in a construction trade or as acting as a contractor in a trade requiring licensure without being appropriately licensed or exempt, and separately prohibits submitting a bid for work for which a license is required; the subsections confirmed do not use the word "advertising", so the accurate statement of Utah law is about representing oneself rather than about advertising as such. PlumberUtah publishes its non-contractor status on every page of this site.
